Photography's literallness helps me see the world for how I believe it really is: completely relative. Objects seen, events happening, people experienced are neutral until the viewer steps in. Then shadows become scary, vacations become relaxing, and parents become loving. Or, shadows become beautiful, vacations become stressful, and parents become overbearing. Each experience is equally as valid. I don't worry if people are getting the "right message" from my work because the "right message" never existed in the first place.
